pops and bangs

Hey guys,
evo 7 mapping with ecu-flash I cant seem to create pops and bangs in the normal way with negative timing in the right areas. I was thinking its likely due to fuel cut or a max retard setting that ecuflash doesnt allow me to change.

Any ideas???

Please search. There is limits and rom modifications to accomplish . I say this with the most sincere tone as, the information you seek has been drafted a lot, and to type it out or do the research for you robs you of the information you wouldn't get by other means than searching

For the heck of it, I tried retarding the timing and adding fuel on decel, but I figure its in closed loop, so my settings don't matter.
I guess I could try to make it stay in open loop, but wasn't sure how that would affect how the car drives.
Nobody wants to tell me what they did and a search turned up no details. I guess it's in a tuner's best interest to keep it quiet. It's bad business to give stuff away. LOL

You want a sas enabled Rom. If you don't have a sas Rom cracking the throttle with your foot will do as tps needs to exceed idle limit to add fuel or the injectors shut off.

There's a 800+ post thread I started about it, and I organized the xml for 88580714 which is a tephra v7 evo ix Rom with sas code.
