Exclamation UTEC Request List

Someone should sticky this so that we can all pitch in and request features for the UTEC that would be beneficial to the application.

This is an addendum to the already listed ones but if anyone would like to add those in please do.

My requests:

1. Traction Control (Tied in with launch control)
2. GUI Interface
3. EVO UTEC Web Page Update (Specific to EVO)

Jermaine is working on #3 right now. I just put the finishing touches on some of the files going up on that page.

Excellent, the UTEC has sparked my interest and I may be purchasing very shortly. Being a small time tuner I have had years of experience with Haltechs, TEC's, and various piggy-backs like the SAFC and E-Manage. So I take that knowledge with me and bring it to everyone else in hopes of developing the ultimate solution for the EVO's.

I know that you guys are beta testing the Primary RPM limits, will this in term also disable the Top Speed limiter? I have a Mail-In Dynoflash and I'm debating on flashing back to stock or keeping it on there with the added features. Will this be incompatible with the stage 1 maps that are included?

The new UTEC update page is live

To answer the other questions;
1. The new UTEC software, when released, will disable any speed limiter, fuel cut, rev-limiter etc.
2. The dyno flash fuel map will not be compatible with the current UTEC stage 1 map.

You've already addressed the few things that I was interested in..

Injector Scaling
MAP Conversion (Map->Maf conversion)
Secondary O2 sensor Simulator

Also, with Injector Scaling, to have the scaling effective in "Stock passthrough" (Map 0)

Several other things I can't think of offhand

Jack,
If you want injector scaling on the the stock fuel table and ignition table when OLF software is released you will be able to do this by just goung to a blank utec map with our OLP turned on and scaled for your larger injectors.

Funny you mentioned that, thats what I already planned on doing if the "Stock bypass" value didn't also use the injector scaling. Its a good thing that the stock ECU's closed loop mode "learns" the new injectors and runs ok without scaling until you hit the open loop switchover.. Though it Idle's a bit rich, it seems to be learning. (On a friends car) I haven't installed mine yet, I wanted to be certain some of these features were already working before I started tuning heavily. (on the dyno)

Can the knock retard be set to pull timing in 1/10th of a degree instead of single degrees?

Yes, you can do that now, but I doubt it would be very effective.

IMHO: Intercooler Water Spray control, engaged and stepped automatically by software setting. It's a minor, but useful thing I was hoping for, esp. in the hell-hot DC summer to come.

Nathan reports they are working on implementing this now.

I second that, spray control would be real nice to have. I'm sure that it could be done using the external solinoid connector but that would involve reworking the factory setup which I don't want to do right now.

A few new requests for features..

1) MAP Conversion (IAT Addon??) (at the rate I'm going, I'll need this)
2) Flat shift and Launch RPM control should be 2 seperate RPM values.. (I discovered this last night) My car makes monster torque, so I have the launch control set much lower than most, but makes the car feel "Weird" when shifting..
