Tuning for Kelford 272 Cams?

Hey there,

I recently put Kelford 272s in my friends EVO 9. I was curious as to how I might tune his car to run with idle lope, and how to give it the proper timing up top to use the cams. The car started and runs great with the cams, but has little lope and almost no top end improvement.

any tips?

Adding lope at idle is simple, decrease timing and/or fuel. MIVEC in the -10+ range will also help get an aggressive lope.

This can and will cause drive ability issues that will have to be tuned around.

To take full advantage of the cams, a full remap will be needed, timing will increase or decrease depending on the setup and it will need more fuel.

Thank you

Thanks for the tips, MIVEC under idle seems to be 0 on the stock map. AFR 14.7 under idle. Idle speed is set to 750 93 degrees and higher. I’ll do a few adjustments and see what I get.
