Evo 9 and some haltech questions?

So I recently purchased my Evo 9 and am happy to get back into this world. I'm coming back from getting into LS cars and using aftermarket ECUs like Holley.

I'm looking to purchase a Haltech and have no experience with their different systems. I'm particularly looking at the elite 1500 and the 2500. The haltech tech tells me in order to run a ton of stuff to keep my car as streetable as possible I would need the 2500.

My questions are:
which ECU is better for my application (Evo 8 head and block so no mivec) the 1500 or the 2500?

What features are actually different between the 2 ECUs?
From my understanding they are identical minus the ability to run more injectors on the 2500 correct?

Is there anything in the car (stock gauges and functions wise) that I can't run on my 9 if I went with the 1500.

Thanks to anyone who takes a moment to help in advance.

HI Mike,

If you haven't purchased yet, I would def go with the 2500 as the extra money is worth it.
There will be more wiring with the 1500 and some things to solve like ac and other street able functions.

The 2500 swaps over seamlessly from what my tuner tells me.
