dealer reflash for p0300?

just bought an 2003 evo 8 all stock and the ecu is on the stock thne as well after reading the rom with exu flash. rom is 94170008. The car doesn’t have any p0300 and it runs great so far. I noticed there is a tsb regarding upgrading the rom to rom id 94170015. My question is should I have the dealer perform this update?

If you are going to upgrade it you will need to insert your VIN and immobilizer codes into a stock 94170015 ROM. If you don't know how to hex edit a ROM - which is required to do this - you will need to go to the dealer and pay their asking price. If the TSB required a recall (check at the nhtsa.gov site), they may give you a better price to do the upgrade.
