Questions...

Silver Surfer,
I thinkI'm pretty sure about this, but does the FC control boost or do you need a seperate controller. And what kind of changes do you need to do when you buy parts? We have an RMR filter and we plan to get an RMR induction pipe, HKS Recirculating BOV, RMR exhaust, RMR downpipe, Mine's titanium Straight pipe, JUN 272 cams, AEM or Tomei cam gears, and some boost increases.
Thanks in advance!

There is a boost control peice that plugs into the Power FC. It is optional (ie, costs extra).

I believe the boost control piece is in the 300 dollar range.

As far as changes to tuning, it should be no different than any other piggyback or stand-alone. You'll need to make appropriate timing/fuel changes with a wideband O2. The only advantage with the unit is the timing changes are absolute, meaning that the timing you add/pull will be the exact timing used at a specific RPM point, no switching between maps uncontrollably like the factory ECU does to fight detonation.

Of course, that's a double-edged sword. Power is nice... Just make sure you're running good fuel and you keep it rich enough to fight knock.

I always wondered if using Apexi's AVC-R would work well with the L-Jet version. I know its more pricey overall, but adds some bling

My understanding is that the boost controll option for the Power FC functions very similarly to the AVC-R. Of cource you don't get the bling factor you do with the AVC-R screen on the dash.

Suggested ratail on the boost controller is $400. Should be able to get one for about $350 or so.

If anyone is interested in a D-Jetro with the Commander, the local shop where I bought mine has just one left for $1595 (no boost controller). Send me a PM and I'll give you the contact info.
