Unfortunately my "test track" starts to go uphill shortly after a 3rd gear run, so I can't do 4th gear. But wouldn't 4th gear have an impact on the data due to all the wind resistance?

The calcs take account of wind resistance, so as long as the aerodynamic properties in the car definition are OK, it should read the same (the known speed/power required combination). 4th gear gives better spool-up than 3rd so you'll have a wider torque peak!

Tama Mog - if you perform your power runs on the same stretch of road you'll get surprisingly consistent results - mine overlay on top of one another like they're amost the same curve. My ECU data logs at 12 Hz which means I can use 3rd gear and get enough detail in the graphs, but a UTEC in 4th gear will provide almost as many data points.

The Power Graphs from Data Log Lab are a very useful tool for checking tuning tweaks, but they are only part of the picture. The other graphing facilities are what reveals the rest of it, and make setting up and maintaining the car a breeze.

Hey guys, I'll be able to give you a hand again.. I've had a real busy few weeks and ahven't had time to touch my software, or do any recent tuning runs (Haven't even tuned my UTEC for the new intercooler and other toys I installed recently..) Though I'm waiting for an official code release for the injector scaling and other stuff..

Oh and my run to run logs (I always use the exact same stretch of road in third gear.. 4th I run out of road and would be going unbelievably fast too) with no mod changes are amazingly consistent.. and the numbers arent "Grossly innacurate" since my mods resulted in 309whp with 275 or so wtq.. which is in line with my mods.. But the important thing is when I make changes, they are reflected in gains/losses and are consistent.. so you can do your timing with it..

But obviously your going to get a little better results in 4th gear since you can get more samples of data thanks to the taller gear..

I think you should be fine run to run.. plus you can focus on part throttle drivability (above the TPS Open loop threshold) where you will find your gas mileage suffers the most if you just dump lots of fuel without using load sites..

I'll post more in day or so when I get back to the grind..
