Knock

What kind of knock activity are you guys seeing on the commander? I have seen as high as 84 and I am wondering if this is normal.

Oh, I hear that 25-70(cold) and 100-190(Hot) are normal or at least what most people see.

You want to avoid anything over 60. That is where the stock ECU starts pulling timing is what I was told.

Actually I've noticed that the Power FC will not throw the knock warning light for any value under 50 and over 60 I can hear the car ping.

So to answer my own question and to validate what robertrinaustin said, keep the knock sums under 60, probably I would say in the 40 range would be safe unless someone else knows otherwise.

Shouldnt the CEL come on when you're knocking on the Power FC?

I'm not sure if the Power FC does this. I know it will flash when your injector duty cycle hits 100%. I'll read the owner's manual tonight and see if I can find the answer.

It does, there are two different warnings, one flash sequence for knock and another for 100% injector duty cycle. It seems to be true knock that it shows, not like the SAFCII.

Good. I don't have to read the manual.
