Another good reason to get an AFC

Well, any fuel management for that mater..
I used to get 210 miles to a tank
Now I get 240 miles to a tank.. nice...
Mid and Top end power is great!!!
I also played with the LO settings and put -1% all the way to 4000 RPM. so at 65mph no boost, I have 1% correction (even on idle). it also eliminated the bog when releasing the clutch at 1200 rpm traffic stops... I wish I have a wide band so I can tune the LO settings to be stoich at 65 MPH..
Helix down pipe (3 inch), stock cat, HKS cat back, Greddy intercooler...
I'll dyno soon when gruppe-s has there dyno up and running..

I am getting about 245~250 with an HKS intake. I just installed my afc and don't have solid numbers for mpg yet, but it sure did increase the pull on the high rpms per my butt dyno.
im serious... no lie.... anyone think im running lean???? i still think im running on the rich side cause i have to clean my exhaust off all the time cause it gets really black....
actually, if you dirve your car nicely without ever going over 55 mph, excessively pressing on the accelerator, you can see over 300 mpg. honest to god, i've gotten 300 on only approximately 13.4 gallons of fuel.

I drove my evo 2200 miles this weekend, and averaged about 305 per tank (out of six tanks) That was playing on the freewayfrom about 85-90mph average, with the occasional jump to 120. I'm a little bit away from stock.
The car will run at stoichometric air fuel at all steady state cruising speeds if you have a stock car and/or stock ecu. You can't make it run any different unless you pull out so much fuel with an AFC that they stock ecu can't compensate with its closed loop fuel trims. You would have to pull out 10% to 20% fuel to do this on the low throttle settings, maybe even more that 20%. The stock computer can do alot of adjustment with its fuel trim. The stock O2 sensor is used for air/fuel feedback at all lite throttle application, that is the reason it works like this.
BTW, to get good gas mileage the other people are right, take it easy on the boost and drive smootly with as lite of acceleration as possible. No fun, but good mpg.
