any results on s1 testing on evo viii???

I see all these threads talking about power gains on the IX. Fantastic but that really doesn't do anything for those of us who drive VIII's and are interested in these S1 cams.

Thanks too all that reply.

if you look at the latest features section on the left hand side of the main page, i believe that they review the s1 cams for the 8. check it out

i think he wanted dyno tests. i want some too.

that review is about torque, spool up and how much faster he was able to take turns.

awesome and all but i want hard, cold, possibly bloody numbers off a dyno.

what i'd REALLY like is a dnyo test of the previous generation gsc 272/272 cams (that i have) and their s1's on an evo8

Has anyone replaced a set of HKS 264/264s with the S1s?

Not replacing my cams but I am getting my S1's installed next week by CBRD. Getting a custom tune by AMS on 4/28. Will post up some results after that. I know this doesn't help if you want to see comparison charts.

I've installed the s1s on an VIII w/ 10.5 turbine housing, tbe, mbc and fuel pump. I will get tuned this Friday and will post results. Current idle is stockish (minimal loping). I have the boost turned down for safety until I get tuned, so I really can't comment on initial power impressions.

I have a set waiting to install, but I will probably need a clutch before a tune and comparison..Hopefully someone will have a comparo or track results sooner..I would think 118-120 trap speeds possible with the S1's on a stock turbo..Can't wait..

Got tuned with S1 cams, TBE w/ cat, 10.5, fuel pump, mbc. 20 psi. 327 whp, 297 wtq. I asked for a conservative tune and ran stockish boost, as I do a lot off rally-x, auto-x and track days. I'm willing to sacrifice power for safety.
If someone can P.M. me and tell me easiest way to post a dyno graph as a bmp file, I will post final graph.

there is a dyno chart avalible on that same page. to the right on the main page, compares the S1s to hks 272s and from I got out of it they provide more mid range through out the rpms and slight improvement at redline. I don't feel like checking though, just read it and click the dyno chart or look closely at it.
