did you verify all of the timing marks? i just read back over your thread and noticed that you never stated that you rechecked. you can also degree in your camshafts if you are concered that they might be out.

Yeah i did verified the timing marks. I don't really want to degree this engine i'd need a degree wheel first. I did a dry hand crank around two times and rechecked even to make sure they lined up. I think i'm getting closer to getting the beast worked out though.

I was getting knock in the low rpm ranges with a modded rom so i've switched back to my origional one. Now I'm finding the timing is starting to come back alive and everything I still got some knock at really low load, no boost, and rpm

The car definitely pulls a lot harder up top you can feel it and i think with some tweaking on the tune I can get back the slam you in your seat feel with a little boost and timing.

I have the car running slightly rich right now at WOT holding a steady 10.8 AFR on our crappy as hell 91 octane. The low end power is definitely starting to come back as i play around with the tune just slow progress since its all on my own time

Same problem i had i think the tephra patch has some kind of tip in and let off bug where it goes a little lean causing the knock. Once i was back on my old rom the issue went away for me
