ok, quick, edit your post to something like

nevermind, I just got told to search

cause that's whats coming. use the search feature

EDIT: ok, yeah, I was a little quick there, but that's about our biggest pet-peave. Other than that, welcom aboard and have a great time! (and don't forgot about us in Off Topic. we like to have good times over there )

it's been answered a lot. RRM ( www.roadracemotorsports.com ) makes a good kit as does TSI ( www.turbo-kits.com ) Ripp Mods ( www.rippmods.com ) makes a supercharger as well. Just search for any of those names on here and you'll find tons of info

RPW also makes kits for the lancer. http://www.visionimports.com/

Vision is their US dealer. Just another option for you.

if you do a lot of research, you can just make your own for less and hava greater satisfaction knowing that you built it adn understand your car so much more than if you had jsut bought a kit from somebody.

Yeah I guess you could go custom. It all depends on what you know about cars and about forced induction. I would not reccomend going custom unless you know a ton about FI and are comfortable doing it yourself, or know someone that will do it for cheap. Otherwise going custom at a shop is gonna cost some mad cash. But hey, if you feel comfortable, then go for it. Otherwise, stick with the kits mentioned above.

And since you have a 2003 it won't be such a pin to build your own. The 2004 has a different fuel system, so people are having to figure out ways to solve fuel management. Run through the turbo tech section and you'll pretty much find all the information you need.

What car?

and you know you can edit your previous post when you just want to add something, instead of adding another reply right?

A turbine will not effect startup. Other parts of a kit may. (Changing injector size or ECU for example) If you're on the stock ECU your start parameters should not change whatsoever, and therefor neither should your startup.

I finally got my kit in yesterday. The first start took a lot of turning the key and waiting. I finally got it turned over and ran it for 30 minutes at idle. Turned it off, put all the tools away, watched the end of the Sox game, came back out. The second start also took a little while, but finally got it started and drove around for 30 minutes. It died twice while driving, but that happened when I was tuning the piggyback when I had it, so I expected it. Turned it off and went to sleep. This morning (33 degrees outside mind you) turned the key once and it started right up. The idle is still a little loopy as it is learning, but it will be good to go in a few days.
