Question RPW Turbo Kits

I was looking at their website and noticed their specs....
Stage 1 - - - 125 - 140 Kw (171 - 191 Hp)
Stage 2 - - - 135 - 170 Kw (185 - 233 Hp)

I am not sure but I assume those are WHp numbers. I was wondering about these kits, they have scarcely been talked about on these forums (I searched) and they look like good kits. The only downfall I see is that compared to the RRM kits it has less fuel management control. Is this realy a big factor if I don't plan on boosting past their kit settings? I am aiming for 220 - 230 Hp and if their kit can get me there for less than the RRM kit I'll try it out. Has anyone used either of the RPW kits??

Edit: I also noticed it does not include the intercooler / piping, but I could still save some $$ over the RRM kit. http://www.rpw.com.au/Performance%20...er103turbo.htm

I'd contact mitsiman (David) about their turbo kits.

these kits don't provide an intercooler and intercooler piping. these kits require fabricating on your part because shipping is gonna suck from australia if you had a full bolt-on kit. i'm not saying their kit is bad, it's just be aware of the cost. i think their stage 2 kit has a decompression head gasket to run more boost.

Talking

Actually shipping is not bad at all, I will be buying from an RPW state-side dealer and I have been offered a full stage 2 kit with HKS and Delta parts, an intercooler, piping, and an Apexi SAFC tuned to 7 psi for little more than the basic kit. It is a system which they are removing from a show car. I am pretty sure I am going to get it . Anyway, if anyone has any personal experience with RPW kits, I would still like some tips for the install and any experiences using the kit.

hey! that doesn't count i meant if you ordered a regular rpw kit. the show kit is the one vision imports ordered, bought all the extra parts and tested for themselves as an overseas dealer. it's not actually what you get when you order a rpw kit outside such a special offer such as this.

the rpw kit actually has MORE fuel control than the rrm kits. you get larger injectors, an adjustable fuel pressure regulator that's boost sensitive, and a safc. you're provided with both electronic and mechanical adjustments. the only thing is that if you decide to upgrade or the fuel map vision provides isn't quite right for your car, for whatever reason, you'd have to retune the thing yourself. i'm pretty sure their tune will work tho. i think you can PM livelyjay for some tips cuz i think he has the kit.
