Anyone get the RPW turbo (any stages)

If anyone of you did get a RPW turbo how much HP gains did you get??? And which stage was it?? sharkracing.com is selling them.... but I'd rather order it from RPW so I'm just getting info on whether to get RRM's turbo or RPW's turbo..

Or you could just avoid Shark Racing altogether and go through Vision Imports. Relatively easy boost formula: 1 PSI boost = 10 FWHP. My 2 cents.

You could call both company's. I'm sure they'll give you the info you need to make a decision.

You can go to other places and purchase the turbo you want. I had my t25 for sell and Rock from there said if you could purchase the turbo somewhere else for cheaper do it and then save some money on their Kits at RRM. several sites sell a turbo that can match this setup. Go for a t25 or t28. You can pick up a used t25 off of an 95-99 eclipse for less than 200 bux just look around. There are always people selling them when upgrading their eclipses and have no use for them any more. Check out DSMTalk.com and go to the "for sale"area...you will find several for around that price. A brand new big t28 will cost you about 900 bux with a core....750 for core exchange. But seeing that you dont have a turbo you are looking at 900. To save money you can go for a t25 that has a maximum HP rating of about 250. The big T28 ups that to 350 but I dont see the lancer utilizing that much power unless you really do alot of internal work on the engine

wait why the hell didn't i think of that it's so logical.......
wait .. i remember why... i swear somewhere rock said they could only do kits and if you chose to do one you had to decide on intercooled or not. cuz they didn't sell stuff seperately... or was he just talking about the intercooler.... ROCK what's the word??????? or

You get a compatible T series turbo and Road Race will be more than willing to simply give you their current kit sans turbo. It ain't rocket science. Then of course, the option of intercooling or not.

yeah i have the RPW turbo kit on my car..its basically a stage one but at 8 psi it made about 180 hp to the wheels and 190 ft/lb of torque to the wheels. good enough to pull mid 14's in the 1/4 mile with some grip.

you can't really go above 8 psi with the stock compression. there are whole discussions about this already posted so look it up there for more reason's why.

I dont care to really look it up I was just asking about your setup in particular...man 8 psi thats sucks, you plan on doing some more work to pgo beyond that or just gonna stay were you are at now. I have a BIg t28, and have it set at 15. I am waiting on getting a new fuel pump and 550cc injectors installed so I can crank up my boost....lookin at a good min of 300hp or more with that setup. Plus I will need to get an AFC for the new injectors

You also have the luxury of a turbo-spec'd engine. Lower compression ratio, strong pistons, rods, bearings, etc. The 'G94 is internally pretty weak. 10+ PSI on a Lancer means new pistons and eventually new or shot peened rods or it will not last.

Oh I know that!!! I was just basically saying that with yhe turbo he has there is so much more power out of it to be had. If he does plan on working on the internals, man that will be one quick car! IMO he's gone this far keep going buddy!!!

Dropping the approximately 2.5-3g's for forged internals and a viscous LSD is the tough part.
