i thought when you have a turbo you need an intercooler. wouldnt you have more hp/better performance with one anyway?

anyone know the actual horsepower increase of the intercooled turbo on a stock lancer? 3800 is a lot too spend if the #'s aren't there.

How long did the install take, and what other parts did you need to buy to complete it?

At low psi intercooler is non as important. Problem with automatic is that it is 8 inches wider than manual. Same reason you cannot run CAI on auto is same reason we won't make intercooled automatic kit. We have done intercooled automatic but requires moving battery and is pain in the *** to do as a kit. NAM, very nice!

It really depends on how much psi of boost you have. Build up your internals run more boost get more hp.

The intercooler lets the engine take in cooler air that allows your to use more fuel allowing you more horsepower.

200HP gain?!

It adds 200 Horsepower?!?! that much!? i didn't think it was possible to get a lancer to 300 horse really.. but man.. if thats the case, with a few bolts on and some tweaking yer saying that 350 or maybe a little more is possible?

1psi ~= 7-10hp. Close though.

At 5 psi the car should be about 160hp at the wheels.
