How much horsepower do you think i will get out of a decent intake filter, decent universal exhaust, and decent headers. Whats the stock 04 Lancer HP and what do you think i will end up with. Thanks in advance.

Stock is 120, with what you suggested, maybe 130-135hp if your lucky.

if ur defintion of decent is AutoZone parts nothing. the base model Lancer if im not mistaken are the same power as the 02-03 Lancer witch put down about 103whp stock. if you bought quailty parts ie. RRM (www.roadracemotorsports.com) i would guess around...20-30whp.

I don't think anyone's gotten a professional dyno done simply cause its not cheap, and why get a dyno when you gained maybe 30-40 horses?

very unlikely. its not an exact science, it really woouldnt be too much. maybe 5-15whp, but look at the cost for so little a gain, is it really worth it?

No mike... it isn't. Which brings me to the next topic of discussion: Why is this in FI?

Grrrr..... you folks need to look at the dyno'd lancers list. At BEST a replacement filter, header and exhaust is going to net a gain of approx. 7-10 HP at the peak of gains (not necessarily the peak of the power curve) and a LOSS of torque because of the more open exhaust.

Noobsmacks: post in the right forum; Search because all of this has been discussed ad nauseum.
