Boost controller?

This may sound stupid to those of you already boosting.
But I have a quick question, for anyone who has already
installed a turbo kit either by RRM or another company.

How do you control boost after buying a turbo kit? (RRM for example)

Secondly, what are these Boost Controllers people have in their signatures?

You don't need to have a turbocharged car to understand how boost is controlled. Learn how a turbo system works. It'll really help you understand the function of wastegates and boost controllers. Essentially they keep the wastegate closed passed its designated spring pressure, and it at whatever the user inputs. Manual and electronic function differently, however they both operate on the same principle using boost pressure to activate them.

in other words, the boost on RRMs kit is controlled by a spring in the wastegate. if you wanna up for boost you can get a boost controller or change the spring

What does the stock spring run for boost in a T-28?

There is no "stock spring" on a T28. The wastegate, while it may sometimes be attached to the turbo, is a completely separate machine. Different wastegates have different stock settings, and external WG's can be purchased with varying springs.

EDIT: I believe RRM's kits are set at 5psi for non-IC and 6psi for IC.

On ANY turbo setup. If you can't bleed excess boost, you WILL overboost and you WILL destroy the turbine, if not the entire motor through severe detonation.
