yeah, well, thats what i thought too until i talked to someone whose dealt with level 10 before.

i actually inquireda about their pricing, its like 500 for the TC upgrade, 700 for the valve body upgrade, plus labor at your local transmission shop to take it off and put it back on

now, i was told it just isn't worth it in the ends, its like 2grand, and the differences aren't that great when you actually ride around in one. he told me just to go with the torque converter and call it a day. now this comes from a guy who really knows his stuff, runs a performance shop, but more importantly has ridden in levelten vehicles before, which i have not

be careful with level 10, awhile back they had some problems, and some tuner shops around here don't trust them. i'm just warning you.

U cant swap the BOV...the one that comes with da RIPP kit is custom built for the SDS system...in the past, RIPP tested BOV's and it didnt work right so the custom built thier own

Seem like it'd be WAY easier install than turbo too.

I still love the turbo, but just seems like you'd be less likely to damage the engine with SC and easier to manage.

Curious....can you swap out the BOV's? Greddy Type S is teh hotness!
dude, i was suprised at the install too. nextgen and i took probably 4-5 hours and got it 80% taken apart, and we both SUCK. so installing it won't take much longer

and yes, you are right, install it cake, half of it is just installing the intake piping, if you've done a sri install, your good to go

just bolt on the brackets for the drive shaft to sit on, hook up pullies and belts, wire things up (black box, pump, etc) and your good to go

edit: oh yeah, ripps bypass valve still sounds pretty sweet. maybe not as good as the type s, but still distinguishable and cool

This is awesome! I can't wait to read results. One question Greeno...What will you do differently from Zooracerlancer to ensure that your tranny wont give out?

i won't try to shift my auto like its a manual LOL

thats what zoo did to his lancer and that killed his tranny i believe before he even got his ripp kit. it wasn't that the sds killed his tranny, his tranny was shot before hand because of the way he drove it

all you really need is a tranny cooler to keep the temps down, and your good to go

car gets dropped off this friday, look for a thread the same day

i need to start making a list of what lancers are in the area that i need to show the kit to after its down (kid lancer in jersey, hobie in jersey, melaz in fairfield...who else?)

I've seen his kit, but if you're in the area... I'll look at it again.
