catch can was 50 bucks from here:
http://lancershop.com/customer/produ...5&cat=0&page=1
of course since its weapon r, it didn' come with ALL the stuff you need (LOL) so you need to get some more tubes, and figure out a place to mount it since its universal, but beyond that, a catch can is a catch can, i can't justify paying 200 for one (like arc or soemthing)
sorry arch, thats just how things are. i don't think it would be worth your time or money to upgrade to the 2005 setup. i'm not exactly sure if the power is going to be different (should be around the same) its more of a drivability and streetability thing. when i rode around in nextgen's, i didn't really notice any lumpy idle problems, so your probably alright
the "old" systems are still good and super realiable, but ripp upgraded them because alot of eclipse guys were wanting to run 20 pounds of boost. of course when your running that much, you have to be shooting a ton of fuel, which means HUGE injectors, and it was just impossible to cut the flow that much for a nice solid idle, so they came up with this idea.
they also were talking about possible CARB certification and passing emissions (for NY at least) because of the new setup, though I don't really know. I guess you would fail emissions cause at idle on the old system you'd be running super rich which would fail emissions, but now your not?
anyways, its just nice to see a company update its stuff, especially RIPP cause the lancer crowd hasn't been the nicest to them, so this really shows they want to work with us and help us make some power

Just an FYI for everyone, NY has the SAME emissions restrictions that CA does. All cars sold in NY state have CA emissions equipment on them. When I left they were only doing visual inspections though, no sniffers, but I think they were going to change that. So to everyone, if it is able to pass certifications/emissions in NY, it can pass anywhere (of course there are exceptions as every state is different in their enforcement).
Good luck with the kit. Maybe on one of my excursions up to Fishkill, NY I'll swing by the shop and check out the SDS Lancers. I was thinking about going this route if I was planning on keeping my Lancer, but it will be sold asap.

just a small update: I talked to Ross today and he said its going well, there is a chance it will be done in time, by next Friday. There have been a few problems we've had to overcome because I bought a used kit, so some parts had to be replaced, but starting Monday Ross will be dyno-tuning it, and also taking it out on the roads with a WB02 to make sure everything is A OK
As soon as I know, you guys will

It seems doubtful that this kit could pass the CARB standard when replacing the stock header is a must for us.
All told, this kit is looking more and more attractive as time goes on

haven't updated this in a while, so here is what i know:
i got my rpw headers in (i'll take some pics later) so for a little while my car will be running on the kamikazes, then i'll swap them out and redyno and see what i've gained
as of thursday everything is all hooked up (gauges, sds, everything) and the car is ready for some street tuning. its all taking longer than expected because of some recent changes in ripp's shop (they had to let some people go and are trying to bring on new people, until then they are short handed)
by next friday it better be done, cause it would be 4 weeks, which is plenty of time in my book. i'll keep you guys posted
