Again... thanks for taking things off topic... they were back on!
Ummm... I consider that the adult thing to do.

Sweet... keep the hostilities down a bit and things will be fine. If we just stick to topic guys that want to ruin threads will just GO AWAY!

Anyway, Ryan i don't think you'll have an issue with the synthetic... in the past i used to warn against it as i heard to many "things gone wrong" stories and had also heard about the pump change that could have been a cause. Since then i've heard of more good than bad so i say go for it. Although i'd still break things in on the old dyno oil first.

What weight synthetic you running? Seems a lot of people favor the 10-30 or straight 20w.

Also have you tried the synthetic in your tranny... i recommend that. Things just seemed so much better with it that the stocker gear oil. Do you have any thoughts about getting the LSD for better hookup off the line?

sweet... Yeah the LSD will set you back but it is so worth it. Helps in handling as well as at the track. One of the best mods i ever did but sure did put a dent in the wallet.

Did you ever get a chance to do that writeup on the boost controller? Could you post a link when you do?

Welcome back to the boards. I know what you mean about the bickering, it's mostly people who have links back to their respective shops (Boe with RRM, NextGen with RIPP, you with TSI). It's lame and every time a thread comes up about any F/I engine blowing up or someone asking questions about options, the same thing happens.

Any ways, welcome back to the community. Great job on getting the TSI kit going with high boost. Me going to a MSP shows me the difference between the two turbo sizes (MSP has a T-25, my OZ Turbo had the RRM T-28). The T-25 spools so fast it's not even funny. The car is wicked quick. I can see the limits though. T-28 was definitely more powerful, and was asking for more abuse. Keep working on the kit and keeping up updated, and I'll keep you all informed about my new toy.

Oh yeah, definitely get an LSD, it's like night and day between not having one and having one.

yeah the T-28 is a great step up from the T-25... it spools quick as well...

From what i've seen though a nice evo III big 16G can build boost like a T-25 and output more than the T28.

This is totally off topic, but does the 16G and the T-25 have the same bolt pattern? Or would I need an adapter?

An evo 3 big 16G does... so does a 14b and most stock eclipse/mitsu turbo's.

The twin scroll's off the evo do not.
