Quick Question bout Greddy Turbo Timer
hey~
so as some of you know, i bought a greddy TT from another evom member, i got installation instructions on the forum written by RRM but i showed it to a few ppl and they didnt find the instructions very good (dont ask me why) but n e ways...my main question is this:
i ran a search and found a good detailed installation by Evo Motorsports they show a pic of what comes w/ the turbo timer(Timer Head Unit, Power Harness, Aux Harness, Evo Turbo Harness) and all I got was the timer head unit!
Is there n e way I can still install mine??
Thanks!
TERRY

The only thing the harnesses do is make it easier to install. You can install it by hardwiring it right in to your factory wires. If you do that though, I would recommend that you solder the wires for the best connection. I have a greddy TT and I didn't get any harnesses and I hardwired mine and it works great! Installation really isn't that hard, you just have to get a wiring diagram so you know what wires you're splicing into, connect a few wires, and that's it. I sat mine on top of my steering colum and spliced into the ignition wiring.
I guess when you say head unit, you mean the actual TT unit itself. Yeah all I did was get a wiring diagram (searched the forums and found one that was useful) and connected the universal wiring harness that came with the TT to the ignition wires in my steering column and that was it. The TT came with instructions on where to connect the wires. It's only like 3 or 4 wires I think that need to be connected. There are more on the harness, but you don't need to hook them all up to get the basic functions.
