qustion for you guru's i want to get a basic turbo setup. Nothing big now just run 5-7 boost. I will upgrade later but for now thats it. I weant to build a good kit that will last a long time and many many miles i do travel. What intercooler should i look at getting and do the evo intercooler pipes work for our cars. And will having an evo ic hurt my performance and or cause damage to the kit?

The evo intercooler pipes will work to a certain extent. YOu will have to do some custom fabrication, though. I personally want to know what size will give you negative results. The reason why I am asking is because I think, if someone uses piping (2.5" like aftermarket evo piping) we will get some static pressure drops and instead of running your desired lbs it will go down. Also, if this is confirmed that it will happen, can this be remedied through a boost controller and upping your boost levels do where it was originally at?

yes.

You have to find each IC flowrate.

If you making around 200 HP at wheel and using a IC that is capable of +400 at wheel HP, the IC is too big.

I hope this is a joke. If you're n/a, there is absolutely no reason and no benefit from running an intercooler. It will hurt your performance.

well...you could put an intercooler on and put a filter on one end then run the other end up to your throttle body...but it will still hurt your performance.

I'm lost.....what was the point of this again?!? Obviously not performance. For the price of an intercooler, your money could be spent on something that your car could actually benefit from......

i guess he was planning to go turbo and wanted to know which intercooler he could get that would fit, or if he could just get any intercooler... and my previous comment was sarcastic, just to point that out.
