I have a 03 oz lancer with the tsi kit. I just noticed tonight that when i have my stereo at a medium level and i turn on my brights my car stalls. I parked and tested it again and it sounds like my fuel pump doesnt get enough power from the battery or something and stops pumping fuel. Also sometimes when i go to start up my car i will turn the key and hear my fuel pump whine for about 3 seconds befor it cranks. Anyone have any clue as to what may be going on? All help is greatly appreciated

 

Hmmm, it might be the electrical to the fuel pump because I remember reading a post where someone suggested that. I'll have to search and try to dig that up for you. My fuel pump (walbro 255) is pumping a lot of fuel into setup but I can't help hear the pitch change when I roll up my windows. Maybe when need a redtop.

 

I was going to say, use a separate battery for the audio setup.

 

Try this. Get a multimeter from someone, or just buy your own, it's a good investment. Then have someone test the voltage at the fuel pump when the car is running and the bass hits. That will give you your solution.

 

did you upgrade the wires to the fuel pump? I heard that that helps alot i plan to do it when i boost mine
