ok here's the pics of the fuel rails...

LEFT: 02' OZ Rally Lancer RIGHT: 05' OZ Rally Lancer's fuel rail

This is my skinny fuel rail they put in the new models of the Lancers.

This is the one I tried to swap with but the it was short of the bolt patterns to the intake manifold.

I think the skinnyness is why my engine can't get the fuel needed! But I'll get the Walbro and I'll find out for sure...

Oh yeah!!! the FMU!!! Is the FMU SUPPOSE to hook up to the fuel return line? Because the 04+ Lancers don't have fuel return lines. Well at least my 05' OZ Rally doesn't. So I hooked it up to the fuel feed lines. I'll post pics to show you what I mean... hold on... ...

Ok here's how I have my FMU set up... let me know if I got something wrong here...

Fuel rail - take it to a shop and have it bored. Easy as pie.

pics dont work, and nowhere did you specify that you had an 04+(i thought you were saying that there is a difference between the 02 and 03), reason why you cant swap it out is because, the 04+ has a returnless fuel system, im not sure how road race worked their kit a little different, but call then and find out, it never hurts to ask

I know the 02 and 03 rails have a fuel return line but that's not why it won't fit. If you look closely I have the return end taped and blocked off with a pipe block screw. It won't fit because the bolt holes are just short of the bolt holes in the intake manifold...

And I hate calling up road race. Everytime I call them up, they act like they don't want to give out any information or just don't know anything when I KNOW that's not true. Everybody I know who calls up R///R told me the same thing. What's up with them???

are the volumes of the two fuel rails different? yes, the 04+ has a small entrance hole, but seeing that it isn't cast i wonder if the whole volume of it's size is used. if so, then the entrance hole can be widened and actually flow more than the 02-03.

you could just plug up all the holes on each rail and fill em with water. see which one holds more.

HA!!! I figured it out!!! Well I found out what exactly a FMU does and I removed it from the engine since I don't have a fuel return line. So that was one of the issue because my FMU wasn't letting fuel in my engine since I had it hooked up to the feed line. Secondly my 2 extra injectors weren't fireing, but i got those replaced yesterday, I just have to get two longer screws to screw on the other half of my throttle body! Yup! It's just held on with two screws right now so my car is running like CRAP right now. But I'll get that fixed later on today. Once I get that fixed I should be in buisness! My next upgrade is the Walbro, than 400cc injectors eventually. Since I won't have the aid of an FMU to keep pressure in my fuel rail. Once I'm back up and running again, I'll go to the Dyno for tuning and such.

Just make sure you run resistors inline to correct for the wrong impedance of those DSM injectors.
