an VIII will beat a mildly modded srt from a dig, however, even a stock srt will walk a stock evo from a roll, no question asked (though the 05' are darn close). the IX's are differnt. those puppies are quick, the mivec allows for a broader powerband. any srt owner who says otherwise is a weiner.

this thread was started to compare a turbod lancer vs srt4's. all the problems that make the srt suck butt, will also afflict the lancers, so it comes down to power:weight.

Lancerguy looking at your dyno I see your car running very lean..I sugest you not to put more boost than what was posted in that dyno BC's you are not going to make much power and will risk your engine. You should try to get your AF under 11.5 to be on the safe side and maybe will make even more power than what you have right now. Do you see how the curve ends up looking like a ruffle chip after 3.5K thats probably the engines knocksensor doing its job and the engine going back-forwd pulling-adding timming. Tune for more fuel and then up the boost checking the AF.

very true, so stock weight vs stock weight and stage2 lancer vs. stock SRT4, im going to have to say the lancer will be quicker. but yes, the fact that all you have to do is lightly mod an SRT4 to change all this says something about their cars, and ours.... haha

you have 200lbs on us. now, as to what the power output on the stage2 kits comes out too will determine it. if you break the 210hp mark or the 225ft/lb mark yeah, you will probably beat an stock srt. however, it would totally be a drivers race, because it at this point traction, drag, gear ratios, etc will come into play. the srt is a FWD true, but its built to be a high hp fwd car, meaning it has equal length driveshafts allowing a harder launch and less torque steer, factory LSD for better traction, etc. it would be a drivers race totally.

whomever gets a full 3" exhaust system will be in the lead!

yeah i know....i was just showing what power my car made with AFR like that.....i got it fixed since and it runs good....so thats what im saying with the AFR fixed and catdelete and headers im probly over 200whp..

and with the graph looking so rough....they did not do any smoothing to the graph at all.....thats normal for all cars....just eveywhere u get a dyno done they smooth the graph out so there easier to read..

why do you say that? our back pressure is nearly perfect with a 2.25 pipe

never been in a stage 2 lancer, but driven an evo, soooo... and running 11psi on a t25 is different then running 11psi on a 16g for instance...all turbos are different

i walked a G35 on I-1 (i think it was I-1, in cali going from L.A. to San Fran) in my nearly stock lancer cuz the guy couldn't drive and got scared at corners, soooo

btw, all those who are quoting hp #'s for the srt from the dealer should go on an srt forum and look at what guys are putting down stock....surprise, but it's a lot higher than what the dealer quotes....

not trying to hate on the lancer, i LOVE my car, just trying to keep things in perspective is all

I have a dyno date tomorrow morning. 3 pulls on a dynojet for 75bucks. SO ENOUGH ASSUMING. I'll post the numbers up first thing tomorrow. You can see my mods in my profile. I'm currently running 5.8psi with NO boost/exhaust/waskegate leaks.

funny how i raced an srt off a 20 mph roll he had i think just an exhaust and we were pretty much even untill around 60mph then i took him by like 4 car lenghts..imo stock srts are over rated now bigger turbo and more boost in an srt4 is a totally different story

they're not really overrated. they are basically cheap speed. stock, they hang with, stock evos, Zs, and stis. however, they do lack much other things that those cars feature. some things being (IMO) comfortable ride (mostly in the seating) and sound deadening (my friend rode in the back seat when i had driven one and said the exhaust was deafening, but with time you would get used to it), those are the two most significant things that i noticed, but you can get one for the same price as a ralliart.

there was somthing definatley wrong with his car or driving ability...and i doubt it was driving because it doesnt take much to shift!!! and would be willing to bet that it was only a catback, because a full exhaust system adds 15+hp on an srt, putting them at 245hp at more than 275ft/lbs of torque. that in a 2900lb car gets up and moves pretty easily

no offense bud, but from a roll, the srt is pretty darn fast (its their 0-60 times that hurt them). what kind of dyno numbers are you running?
