some of yall need to do some reaserch..sheesh...RRM's lancer ran high 12's with pretty much everything this guy has, so i dont see why it wouldnt be possible...i would say get the piggy retuned or street tuned to maximize everything and dyno the batch.

high 12's nice..hmm you say we should do research now why would any of us(evo guys) do research about base lancers, you honestly think we stay up to date on what you guys are doing. In any event good job for RRM.

Thanks for all the good responses. I know that in the 1/4 and EVO would take me. It's too hard to maintain tracktion through first...that's what ya get with stock suspension. That's what I need to start working on now...traction. I calculated I had about 130 whp before the turbo...all the bolt ons. But I only have a dyno from when I first put the turbo on and had a boost leak...175 whp & 185 wtq @ 3.5psi. I hate when people claim hp #'s but let's just say I have a calculated 230 - 245 whp...somewhere around there ,but I'll have dynos probably on Tuesday or next Wednesday...when I have a day off of work.

Why would you want my stock bumper? Don't you have the same one? But hey if you want it then sure I'll sell it...I don't care. I'll PM you when I get the kit installed.

Not really I've only spent 7K - 8k and bought my Lancer for $15,700 in Nov. 2002.

EVO's were something like $30,000 then, plus I live on my own...rent, bills they add up.

With a decent amount of power I dont see why you wouldn't pull on an evo on the highway. Evos have the problem of parasitic loss with the awd at the high end so it would definately take less horsepower in a lighter car that only powers two wheels. Of course this is granted you can get that power to the ground.

Problem is, your drivetrain would not enable you to catch us off the line...you will be just like a stock SRT-4, which have all sorts of tractions issues off the line as everyone knows...please don't just compare power to weight ratios...remember all wheel drive traction vs. front wheel with similar power numbers and weight numbers...

It is too soon to determine but I wouldn't take any credit from you, if you really think you took an Evo then you must be making some crazy power( 300hp plus)

Carlos
Ever race an Srt-4? From a "ROLL!" maybe? 1/4 mile times with AWD and FWD are yes, comparisons verse eachother against the amount of time it takes for a car to get down the track but there are Supra's and Mustangs running 11 trapping at nearly 10mph faster than Evos. Why? Traction. So when you say 13's to compare to an Evo, you don't list any trap times; wonder why Evo's run 11's, but they still have lower trap speeds than a xxxhp supra running an 11 trapping at well over what the Evo does. It's completely possible for a low 14 second turbo'd lancer to pull on a mid 13 second Evo if the Lancer's trapspeeds are higher and it's a highway racer. Drivetrain loss? You wouldn't need 300hp, you'd need around 250 which is almost exactly where RRM's kit puts you.

Why would I be a hater? it does not affect me in any way. Even if it was quicker than me I wouldn't even care. I am glad for the guy, what is wrong with that?

You should be the real hater, you probably hate with the botton of your heart that you bought your car and realisticly just about any car in the market beats
your car. That is reality bro, learn to adapt to your new slow transportation life, get to know and understand that everytime you go to work and you are in the hwy just about any car or SUV can smoke you. That is not me making things up, that is reality.

Learn and do some market search before you become the hater. I have no reason to hate, you do. I roll fast, and you don't, you have 1000x more reasons to hate.

By the way, you are the real hater.

Carlos isn't so much a hater as he is immature. N1te is corrrect. A modifed stage 2 lancer will pull on a stock evo. Rather than acting like your five why not just add to the debate with fact to back you up?
