crank sensor

crank sensor

anyone have a pic of the crank sensor or a description of were it is. usually there right of the crank pulley right.

From: City O Sin, MA...the not so sinish part though...
If your looking at the crank gear its at about the 2:00 position, plastic black thing with a thin wheel that runs through it.

im just going to clean it out. Mabye some water messed up the sensor. Would that show up if you got the codes pulled?

Yes, why do you think its a crank sensor?

Usually when its bad it wont start, very rarly when a crank sensor is bad it will start. Could be the cause though, doubt it.

Havent got it scanned yet?

No im going to try today, or just buy the tool $150.00. i just don't want it to stall on the way down there because it's pretty far from were i live. i guess before i do anything else i should get it scanned.

I just heard if a crank sensor had a bad connection it may run rough. Although i never heard that before but im running out of ideas.
