Codes pulled
Codes pulled
My past pouple of threads have been wont stay running and running bad. today i bought obd11 scanner and the code i pulled was random/multiple cylinder misfire detected. Any suggestions?
Did you check the Plug Wires to see if there were any arching?
I was positive it was the ignition system
Work from there, check the coil packs, etc.
Since theres so many threads, post here what you have replaced

Im just hope water didn't wreck one of the cylinders causing it to loose compression. Causing the misfire. i should prob get the comp check first don't you agree. If not it could only be plugs, wires,or the coil packs right. Another code came up to o2 sensor heater malfunction. Which is the one that has been coming up for two years which the car ran fine. unless the 02 sensor went causing it to run bad.

If u havent yet, CHANGE your oil.
If ur compression is bad, and assuming you dident blow a hole threw a piston or anything and its just your rings (MEchanics telescope will allow you to see this =P)
Take out your plugs, unhook the coil packs and turn the fuel pump off,
Squirt some oil(not alot) into the cylinders, and crank it over a few times (with every thing out MAKE SURE THE FUEL PUMP IS OFF) The goal is to get the Piston Rings to Reseat.
Replace then fire it up
. The prob was the o2 sensor. The one of the header. Some of the wires were nicked causing the copper to show. Causing it to malfunction. Im still going to comp test it after work. But i talked to rob at road race and thinking the 02 is causing the rough idle. And set of the new code of misfire. I would think if my comp was bad i would feel a power lose. I still have been driving the car around alittle and it still seems to drive fine and boost fine not that if been beating the hell out of it, besides the idle. I didn't think i sucked up much water at all. Because after i dried the filter and mas off the car ran fine for a couple of days and the idle was fine. Thanks for everyone's help.
I'd still keep an eye on it. A faulty o2 sensor doesnt usually cause that massive of problems. if your o2 sensor craps out the car just goes into limp mode and you run overly rich, which just means you lose a little power and the car may stumble a little more. I melted the sheilding off of my o2 wires a few weeks back when i didnt notice that they were resting on the exhaust manifold and i didnt have the problems you are saying. Disconnect your o2 sensor and see if the problems stop, thats the easiest solution. Driving around with the o2 sensor unhooked shouldnt cause any huge stumbling or undriveable problems, you should just run extra rich.
