Boost Control

Ive been reading around and saw that with the use of a boost controller you can use a boost level above the setting of the turbos wastegate spring but what I haven't found anything on is running a boost level below the turbos setting. I've been wondering becuase if I were to get a turbo setup I'd like to run it at a slightly lower boost level like 5 or so instead of the 7 it could on a intercooled kit. I'd just feel a bit safer running it like that and then just put it up to the 7 when I wanted the extra kick.

whatever spring u havein the wastegate sets the base boost u can run, so if u have a 7lb spring thats the lowest u can run, i mean u an run a 5lb spring and a mbc. then just set it to 7 when i want.

You are sort of stuck with the defaut setting for boost which is wastegate spring. IF you ordered a kit from us we can giveyou a 5 psi spring, then youcan just get a boost controller to turn it up to 7 when you want to. So the lowest boost you want to run would have to match the spring in the wastegate.
