Retork turbo related bolts

periodically do oil changes 3 to 5K (use whatever oil you want but oil pump has trouble with synthetic so I don't tempt fate!)

Monitor oil, water, hose integrity etc a little more often than N/A. Don't be afraid to touch hoses and get a little dirty. The under hood temps are a lot higher too so things like hoses may get old faster especially the little vacuum type hoses. Check IC piping clamps too every once in while. Still it is not much to do if you did a proper install and it is worth it! Some other threads up here boast of guys with our kits running over 70000 miles on the kits. Have fun boosting and just follow the recipe for sucess.

I can't prove sythetic suck for Lancer but we have built motors from scratch and we have seen the oil pump and compared to other Mitsu pumps. It is hard for Lancer pump to pull the thinner oil.

The walbro is a fuel pump, it has nothing to do with the oil system.

no, ive used Castol 20-50w oil in my car and have had no issues boosting for 40,000 miles. done compression checks, looked at plugs everything was good. i would just use the non-syn oil like RRM says. bottom line

or we can not listen to RRM...cause they havent done any research on Lancers at all....

I have a question. Does your turbo need to spool down before you turn your car off? I heard if you don't let it spool down it could mess up the engine.

IT spools down along with thengine idle no? What people prolly mean is t hat the it helps to remove the super heated oil from the turbo. Good to run the car for 30 sec or 2 minutes before turning it off. Hence a turbo timer.

Good question though Jaker!
