people who do custom kits....

i got a quote from a shop and it was pretty pricey if i dont install all the parts. their gona do custom piping and charge only 500 dollars installed. the tuning charge was about 150. do you guys usually install all the parts and than get your car towed to the shop so they can install and tune?

So re-explain this please. You have all the parts and they will do custom piping and install for $500? If so, That sounds good to me. $150 for a tune is pretty good too I think, but it might go up as they tune.

just for the piping (includes piping installation) will be 500 dollars
tunning is 150

assuming i go custom they charge per part..including installing manifold, turbo, etc so it will be pricey.

sorry for any confusion.

Why not find out how much they'd charge for the full install and then make up your mind?

yeah, but without piping, you are pretty much forced to have them install it cause all you'd be able to do is install the manifold and turbo. They'd probably charge you just as much saying that thats not the hard part.

$500 to install pipeing? Buy some pipes and do it yourself. then have them tune it. I wouldnt pay $500 for installation of pipes.

Get to know your car and install everything your-self.
If something breaks down later, you'll know how to get to where it broke since you installed it.

And it's more rewarding when you know you did it all.
