just get a universal import n2o kit and break the 200hp mark and see if your cvt goes out. get one from ebay like $500 lol

i have the money for full turbo upgrades but not for that plus a new cvt.

yea but when its out, its gonna be like 5-6 grand. im not down to buy a tubo that that much.

i been browing through rrm. their exhuast is cheap compare to other exhuast. i thought usualy exhaust goes above 1000. for an 08 lance. under 400. whats the deal? why so cheap?

and PLEASE i dont want to hear "because they are nice guys" from anyone. cuz that doenst answer anything.

Actualy it isnt cheap. It is an axle back exhaust. A full exhaust might cost you 1G but an axle back or cat back isnt going for that much.

RRM's turbo kits are generally $3k - $4k. Not 5 or 6.

It's an axleback exhaust. Nobody charges a grand for a muffler and 6" of tubing.

Please get your facts straight. Also, if stay on-topic. This thread is about turbo kits. If you have issue with the axleback, post in the engine forum.

They JUST released exhaust intake and suspensions, so turbo is no where near being thought of. Give it some time and it'll happen.

In the mean time, read this thread completely and the ones in the drivetrain section for more info on what we've been argueing so you have a complete understanding and dont get chewed out for asking what others have already

They havn't even cracked the coding of the ECU for tuning, what makes you think a turbo kit is out yet?

I was told at mitsubishi dealer by the performance specialist there who owns a HIGH horspower MR and a new 08 Lancer that the CVT can handle up to 285 HP with only slightly more than 1% slippage

I guess time will tell

I wouldnt be surprised if there is already an 08 Lancer out there with a stand alone and turbo being fabricated...

also, who knows what tuners already have their hands on these cars. GReddy usually has kits developed before the cars official releases. They sometimes get cars before they are out..

Ive been tuning since '93 and nothing surprises me anymore. Ive seen it all. I had my Civic turbo'd before there was a real kit released. Manifolds/downpipes can be fabbed relatively easy and if stand alones are use, there is no need to fool around with stock ECU's. Then its a matter of fuel tuning and crossing your fingers when trynig to find a car's limit of safe power. Of course there is more, but Im sure there will be an 08 ripping the streets real soon
