ive been reading posts about other cvt cars and ive found that some will shut down at about 20hp over stock because of safety settings in the ecu. they said to add power to a cvt u have to reprogram it 1st.

think ours will have the same problem?

yeah most likely, when it comes to warrenty work from mitsubishi... they try to do as little as possible.

And i do not belive our cvt has an automated shutdown if we reach a certain horsepower.

If it does i'm sure that RRM will figure a way around it...

Also, if the cvt belt won't hold up i'm sure that a better one can be found.

These are the things that come with modifying a car that wasn't designed for such applications as a high hp/tq turbocharged setup creates. It's also a reason why we leave up the RND to companies that stand behind their products and really do "do" all the research necessary before releasing a product. It definately helps us sleep at night knowing it's tried n trued...

Have a new clutch on the way and get that swapped out asap. Then back to the dyno. Meantime, that means we are developing a new clutch, and aluminum flywheel. Hehehe.

nothing beats pressing a clutch and moving a stick through the gears, IMO.

Then we'll go back to how things are for 02-06 Lancers. Everybody that posts will claim to be in one of two groups:

1 - Turboed using an RRM kit
2- Saving up for an RRM kit
