i had an si..i traded my si for this car...trust me that car is far from fast...sure the lancer is even farther from fast..but by no means it that car fast..no doubt that a 09 2.4 lancer with exhaust,header,intake,pully,flash could destroy an si. call me crazy but if i need to run 11s on the track ill use the supra..but as for daily driving i want somthing im gonna like to drive

Hell no! how on earth can those bolt ons and flash possibly overcome the superior head of the K-series, the high CR, the higher rpm, and to top it all off the big cam on the i-VTEC.

the 4B12 isn't so far removed from the 4B11 and so far the motor makes like 10-20 whp from all those bolt ons. another 10 hp with the piggy. without increasing CR, cams, headwork, etc the 4B12 ain't got nothing on the K-series.

where do you get this stuff from?

this $UK$... I just found out I have a PZEV type.... any hopes for a turbo working rite? it makes me wounder.... does NYC and CAL have the same low emission laws?

Yeah you must be crazy if you think an economy car with bolt-ons can challenge a car designed by Honda to be a sportscar.

hahaha people thinking they beat a car.. did the other driver know that you guys were racing?? and also i dont think bragging about street racing is allowed on evom??? well either way... get in line ppl with pzev... i dont mind paying more for a turbo if they can break the cvt ecu...albeit it will take time for me to come up with that money lol

Yes, the PZEV will eventually come out. Just going to take more time for RRM to make that specific kit. They are completing the MT Fed version first. Now they're working on the CVT Fed version. They will move on to PZEV next (that is my understanding).

I'm with this guy! Don't give up! If Mitsu can do a CVT model with the RA and the Evo X than a CVT turbo is no prob. Just got to crack that little black box.

The 09 Lancer is not even in the same class. How in the world did someone beat the Si, unless the Civic driver was asleep.

personal driving experince..i had the si since graduation last year which is about may 07


and like you said..10-20hp from all those bolt ons with 10 from the piggy being 30

so lets say a 09GTS2.4 2009 stock at 168/167 theoretically with high hopes lets add 30 to both now being 198/197

Civic Si Specs

197hp/139lbtq

i understand torque isnt everything but i really notices thats where the si seriously lacks..

the k-series dosent mean anything the motors potential dosnet mean anything its what the motor is running
so to say thats not realistic that an si can beat a fixed up lancer...id re think

Dammit.....ok people, Doug and I have been over this again and again in various threads. You can't simply add the numbers together, modding doesn't work like that. More importantly, where are these numbers even coming from? I highly doubt a lancer with bolt-ons could hang with an SI, they have various advantages (better engine, better suspension, LSD, 6-speed tranny) that heavily weight against that being a realistic situation. Also, all that SI has to do is get a thousand bucks in mods (say an intake, exhaust and a tune) and you're completely pooched again. Sure it's down on torque but that's not a big deal once you get going.

Dude, really, knock it off. I had a Mazda 3 and it would blow the doors off my Lancer, same with a tC. Stop posting retarded crap.

The Evo and RA are not CVT, they are SST, it's a completely different system.
