D and sport mode should have no effect on if they can drive or not. The car is going to build boost no matter what transmission mode its in. The issue is that the transmission has a failsafe to limit the chances of failure and it puts itself into "limp mode". As far as I know this failsafe is there regardless of drive mode as people have had issues with it going into limpmode non-turboed. I'm not sure whats making you think they would have to drive in a certain mode.

I can come off somewhat blunt so not taking any shots at you there.

^The concept of only driving in sports mode and not D comes from a company in Japan that has already boosted the CVT tran. (At least thats what I remember EvoSoul saying).

Well, If you just pin the gas to the floor in drive mode the car revs out and holds there while the car accels. Can you imagine how the car would haul the mail boosted?!

In sport mode the 2-6 gears, are very short. Would it even be worth having it in sport mode? Just something to think about! I think you would have to shift so fast, that, well you might just run out of them quickly!

I think it would be fun to leave it in D and accelerate to never never land!

Remember guys this kit is gonna be costly, so dont get over hyped about it, then find out how much is gonna cost and ***** out. I've seen it happen every time RRM fabricates a turbo.

id guess around $5200-$5500 for the CVT since its going to require more electronics.

Of course, that's IF they can manage to figure it out.

And I'm not questioning their integrity, but sometimes things just can't be done... But who knows they might pull something out of their ***** that's just so damn amazing.

Gonna start a thread about this. Basically going to make 4 kits and take preorders for them. Then guy will have to wait for the next batch. We are short handed at RRM right now so this is how it is gonna be. Manual kits are basically ready to be ordered. See the new thread.
