impressive..coule of questions for you turbo experts.

is the RA motor internals built up like the Evos? or is it in the middle like not as weak as the GTS but not as much as the evo

also those of us with Gts,es,des whatever if one day we do decide to build the internals up like start replacing cams, pistions and such. will we have to re-tune the whole car? or will we simply be able to up the boost a little bit...i know with a CVT we will prob have a limit because of the tranny..so i dunno

Cant answer the first question, but as for the second, anytime you do anything drastic, you need to tune. Complete bolt on in and out could benifit from a tune though not nesecary. But yeah, short answer, yes, anytime you get into the motor and change stuff, i.e. compression, cam lobe, ect.

The RA Engine is the exact same as the Evo X engine, internals and all. The RA also shares the same TC-SST transmission as the Evo X MR. And yeah, you will need to retune the car once you build up your internals if you want to have a faster, more reliable car.

I think the RA engine will have a different turbo, and cam setup but nothing to drastic which is a good thing because you know it can hold some power. The trans is what we will wait and see on.

wow..i have the money to get an RA but i think it would be more fun just to build my lancer up for power..but the with the CVT that may be a bad choice..

i dont care about track runs i just care about straights pretty much..

but im starting to think the RA might be a much better project car than ours right now..people are gonna turn that thing into a beast

I have driven the new RA in fact check out latest SCC and you will know what I mean. Still Lancer turboed is faster than the stock RA. RA is cool though.

Correct me if I am wrong,

I read in the Mitsubishi article the RA has a 4B11 and did not mention anything about the 4B11T like the Evo has.

Haha, you should do some road trips across country to do raffles and such. Hit up places like indy, dallas, atlanta, D.C. I'd goto the indy ones just to see cars that are modded and meet you all. I'd be all for getting a pulley or header in a raffle.
