Well, pry it apart...might just have a good seal to it. You did take the shaft out right?

There is a large snap ring that needs to be removed to separate them.

The cold side has the snap ring. The only thing I can see that is holding the hot side to the chra is a large cirular clamp. I will post up some pics so you guys can see what I am talking about.

I have not removed the shaft. I didn't know I had to.

my wife took my keys and my camera to work today. I swear if she could fit the computer in her purse she'd take that too.

Okay, I re-thought it over in my head...you "probably" won't have to remove the shaft/turbines. But I thought in your pass post that you already had that snap ring off? LOL Go to Sears and get a good pair of snap ring pliers...and not the ones I got that you have to attach the various sizes of points. Get the set of three with different sizes built in or don't detach. Just take off that snap ring and the clamp on the other size and you should be set! have you thought about rebuilding it with it all taken apart?

Here is a pic of it all taken apart and painted. Yes I will rebuild it and polish the cold side housing.

the snap ring your talking about is on the cold side. There is a small pin on the hot side that keeps it from rotating. I put the turbo in a vice and used a hammer to knock it loose.
