Okay, the Turbonetics WG I had had a recessed area where the factory included a "fire ring" and an accompanying flange to match up to it. Is this WG of the same design?

This is the model I "had' for my Civic build...

I have 38mm ultragate street. I don't know if they are the same design. Why? You have for sale?

Notice the word "had" in my sentence...I wish I still had it! Got a bargain @ $75 shipped. Then had to resale and made 100% profit!

Anyways, take off the WG and examine it. Check the "fire ring" area to see if it even has one. Then take it apart, and no it's not rocket science. Check inside for a seized spring, ripped diaphram, etc etc...

Sh*t. For now I will only pull the wastegate. If it's going to be to late I might even do that over the weekend.

BTW, is the fire ring located between manifold and wastegate itself?

Yes, but it's part of the WG...not the manifold. Check out that .pdf, it appears to be item #2...

Ok people. I'm very dissapointed. Wastegate is in perfect condition.

I did one tast on my turbo. I took the wastegate off and blocked off the wastegate port. Took it for a drive and nothing. I hear the turbo spool (cold side) but no boost. Now looking for new turbo or rebuild it.

If this was gt28r turbo, can I buy t3 super 60 (t3/t4) turbo?

If I would want to rebuild it, how much would it cost?

That ebay turbo was a shame.
