How did you get away running the blow off valve to atmosphere??? Usually the car would freak out, run super rich and stall. Did you get around this when you tuned the ECU?? I couldn't see the MAF in any of the pics. Are you still running one??

Yeah, it's under the BOV. That's what the stock ECU uses to read intake air info.

I know what the MAF sensor does. I just couldnt see if they keep it in. There are ways around using the MAF but it takes some work. How did you get around the car acting up with a VTA??? When you push the clutch in and the car idles, it doesnt rev up and down and act like it wants to stall???

the car drives pretty much normal w/o any stalling issues. The MAF sensor plug is on the under-side of the intake so it's hidden from view. Customer is taking car to track tonite, we'll see how it runs... i'm guessing 14's we'll see if i'm going to have to eat my words tomorrow... do'h!

yeah, that's on the 'to do list' for this customer. He's doing all the other stuff (suspension & brakes...etc). Got him the BBK from Rotora, the car stops now

as the title of the thread stated - 'stock ecu'... we tuned his stock ecu to work with the turbo with bigger injectors... there are a 'soft spot' in 3rd that we were not able to tune out, but overall, the car runs fine at its current boost level of 10 psi (safe for the stock motor and safe for the ecu)... further down the road, he wants to go MoTeC, but that's the $6000 decision and he's not quite there yet

I know it's stock ecu. But what are you tuning it with. Which piggy back?
