Another IM thread!!!

I know that there was few IM threads already. Our options are 4g93/94 manifold,4g93 mivec manifold or just go custom (like one of our members).

I wonder if we could take one of the eclipse or evo sheet metal IM, cut the flange and weld our own. Just throwing ideas

For example I know that 3g 4g64's can do that with little custom work. Galant people like to use outlander manifolds b/c of their huge runners.

As long as the injectors would fit in and we could weld our own flange, than there should be no problem.

Now, flame on!!!

What do you mean by 4G93 mivec manifold, the 4G93 wasn't a mivec motor. I don't think the evo manifold would work since the runners won't like up, the vacuum lines will be in different places/absent, the EGR is probably different and the flange with the TB is probably different. Your welcome to find one and take a look though.

Sorry 4g92 mivec manifold, lol.

TB would line up just fine, egr can be deleted. They only thing I would be interested are the runners and injectors/fuel rail.

I would be surprised if there was even an advantage to using an evo manifold over a ported stocker/ported 4G93 mani.

How though? Is there any proof that a ported 4G94 mani is a restriction?

Less restriction. There is one mirage guy with stock mivec IM and it outflows ported 4g93/94 IM.

Did they actually flow test it? Also, just because something can flow more doesn't mean it will.
