i got a turbosmart.. but it flutters -_-" at least i hope it's fluttering and not "compressor surging". gotta check it out this summer, haha.

i hooked my bov to the vaccuum line that's connected to the throttle i believe? i T-d it to something.. i forgot what though.. haven't popped the hood in a while.. maybe to the wastegate? hahaha.. this post was not helpful... sorry

i will take pictures next week when i'm back in toronto.

since you bought the rs make sure you do the single spring mod so it will be like a dv. it runs better with 1 than 2.

You shouldn't be getting fluttering with the kind of pressure you're running. I think a lot of people T into the fuel pressure regulator hose.

your turbo setup should be fine man. whats your vacuum on idle? i had the fluttering sound on my dv because i wasnt getting enough pressure.

get the evo IX dv, it'll be more than enough for your setup.

No, it's a large black hose on the side of the manifold I think.

the BOV connects to that nipple on the left side of the manifold i believe....i guess you'll most likely to Tee it with the FMU and some sort of vaccum source at the end of the fuel rail? just a hunch but correct me if i'm wrong.

kinda off topic but, does the electronic boost controler solenoid connect to the top nipple of the external wastegate? and does the other nipple on the external wastegate connect to another vaccum source or to the intercooler piping?

yeah thats the hose ive got my new fmu T'ed into, just figured you would want to be closer to the intake hole. there are two small hoses that run right up close to the butterfly valve on the intake, each one goes in on a differnt side of the valve. and one has a yellow stripe on it, and the other a blue/green one. i was also thinking about tying my boost gauge into here as well. witch btw, how do you hook the gauges power line up to the fuse box?

hmm my forged wastgate only has one nipple and it is just hooks up the the nipple on the bottom of the turbo/intercooler pipe

vacuum on idle is -22psi... off topic but what are good readings for EGT, oil pressure, and boost (idle)? i've been googling that ever since i picked the gauges up! lol

you think it's the bov? (btw, maybe a newb question but what's a dv?)

shortbus - nice price on the bov! rs sounds sexyyyyy.. when i first made this kit i was looking at videos on youtube and it makes a nice WOOSH sound, haha

You shouldn't have boost at idle, boost is directly related to load. Not sure on oil pressure and EGT (EGT should be relatively low at idle). A DV is a diverter valve, it's another and more correct name for a recirculating BOV since the air isn't "blown off" but instead diverted.
