turbo sizes and performances?
yea well not tryin to knock evos i love them, but my friends 05 srt4 has just bolt ons , not even the waste gate or boost controller though, and he walks all over evos, and im not just saying this ive driven his car against my other friends evo and 350z, and mustang gt, dont ask me how come its so fast but its a solid turbo to me, the closest thing to beating him is the gay mustang
dont even bother looking for an srt4 turbo because the exhaust housing on those turbos are built into the exhaust manifold... when they do a turbo upgrade they usually have to swap out exhaust manifold also...
yea i know , and your right, Im just trying to find something similiar or you know ideas, this decision is getting tough, because Ive messed up so many times lol, Im just waiting for someones educated opinion on the tdo4 15g turbo, and if not good, i guess ill go with the big 16g
Realistically it won't make a difference what turbo you go for. You're not running copious amounts of boost and you won't even strain a T-25 let alone a 16G or a 15G. The only reason to go with those turbos is cost, availability and the fun factor. I'm not surprised at all that an SRT-4 with bolt-ons can beat stock evos, hell a stock SRT-4 can beat evos from a roll since they have the advantage of FWD in that situation. I wouldn't call their turbo small, it's bigger than mine that's for sure. They shouldn't spool in a parking lot or in reverse since the loads aren't high enough, I don't reach full boost in first or second for that very reason.
16g spool
I know im beating a dead horse here, but just one more time you guys with the big 16g...whats the spool time , im hearing like 2300-2900 full spool, does this sound right?
I searched "16g flange" on ebay and got items. Are you talking about a twin-scroll Evo 16g or a DSM 16g? Also try searching "4g63 flange", "evo flange" or "4g63t flange". All produce results for different flanges.
