looks good, but I'm kinda worried about the spool time of an 18g turbo for a daily driver. I'm sure it'll be fine tho

2.0l might catch some lag, 2.4l would roll nice with that turbo. Although after looking at the compression maps, it doesn't really look like the best choice...

Will the exhaust manifold be available for sale separately? I like the look better and believe that the flow will be superior to RRM's.

called Frank and he said you can only buy the kit, nothing will be sold individually.

when you remove the head from an engine, you will see the "deck" which surrounds the cylinder walls. an open deck means that it is not solid metal around the walls. fully closed deck means it IS solid, and semi closed means there are "support beams" every number of centimeters or so.

open deck:

closed deck:

semi-closed:

a closed deck is the best for adding large amounts of power because since its a solid piece of metal with practically no gaps, it can withstand a lot more power. an open deck can warp and flex and damage pistons, rings, valves, and blow head gaskets. pretty much complete engine failure. this is why some people "sleeve" their engine which means they put thick metal cylinders into the blocks bored out cylinder, reinforcing the cylinders, if that makes sense lol

hope this helps, evo-monstar

talked to Frank today, and the car on the lift is being put back together so it can be moved off the lift and the lancer can go on for the water lines, oil return line, and downpipe hopefully tonight.

everyone wish him good luck!!!!!!!!
