just think of it this way, the little boost you will run and all the turbos normally used will all have full boost at 3k give or take. You will RARELY experience any turbo lag unless you are in 5th going 30mph.

it's definitely purty, tho
You mean the other way around the supercharger is helping the turbos get up and going.

Also, I haven't read the whole post, but another problem is space. There's barely enough room for ONE turbo as it is. And about that VW motor you want to import, just get the new 1 series BMW. A straight 6 twin turboed in a car the size of a civic.

But that will still only get 3.0L mpg where a 1.4L will just sip the gas on the highway. Plus increasing the turbo isnt going to be a problem if you can increase the psi on the supercharger.

heh, guess it all depends on what kind of supercharger they're using.

Why would you use a turbo to spool a supercharger? That doesn't make much sense since the supercharger is belt driven and thus dependent on crank torque not on exhaust flow.

I was referring to the higher RPM range, not initially. Obviously the supercharger works first/faster as it's belt driven....but once the turbos kick in at the boost threshold, wouldn't they be kicking the supercharger into gear by having it essentially compress already compressed air? My head it still kind of spinning with the power this setup must be cranking...

Typically the supercharger is turned off using a clutch-type system (much like the AC) since compressing already compressed air is dangerous.

Isn't the hot side of the stock srt4 turbo built into the exhaust manifold?
