Injector question?

Im kinda new to the import word and injector world and i am looking to put some bigger injectors on my lance. Which will be turbo sometime this year I hope. Anyway my number 3 injector gave up on me so i need to replace now before i have the rest of my turbo parts would i be able to put deatschwerks 450 on and ecu flash it back down to be able to drive like normal? The car does have intake and exhaust. Also how good are deatschwerks injectors like I said im new and i would like to get the input from anyone who has used these, what they think of them on a daily driver. And how do they they hold up? And what injector's would you recommend if not the deatschwerks And here is there web address

http://www.deatschwerks.com/catalog/...roducts_id=202

Thanks

I wouldn't bother until you have the turbo in.

Ok, thank you for the quick response do you think the lack of fuel in the Cylinder could cause damage to the piston? the injector Intermittently gives out and when it does it feel like i just hit fuel cut the car's rpms just stop going up untill i let off gas an then i can get right back on and sometimes it will be fine and other's it will bog down again and i have to do it again and again till it stops. do you think i could have a second problem that i am missing info that might help new plugs ngk's wires and tested coil packs so i know it's getting spark Thanks agin

Just because you are getting spark doesn't mean your not misfiring. If you have a check engine light i would suggest you go to a local auto part store and have them check the code for you. Honestly if you aren't looking for real power i would use a FPR and than later on get new fuel injectors.

those injectors will work. they are just stock injectors that are modified.
wrx and sti injectors (top feed) will work too.

a cheaper alternative is to find someone selling their wrx or sti injectors ($100-150) and just get them cleaned and flow tested by RC engineering or deatschwerks. thats what i did

I got a question the injector has got way worse i have called all the local yards and they do not have any lancer's that I can get one off of. They said they think they have a 94 or 95 galant 2.4 l they have 275 cc high impendence injectors i know i have to change my harness and fuel rail bolts but would the car run without any tune and if so how well?

as long as the injectors are the same size and the same plug, they will work without tuning. You do need to get that failed injector fixed though. It wouldn't be good to drive it with only 3 cylinders getting fuel.

If you have ECUFlash, you can set the injector scaling and latency for the new injectors and it should drive near stock. No reason to wait till you get the turbo unless you can't flash the injector changes yourself.

I did a compression test on the car and i got some odd numbers cyl.1 was 185 psi cyl.2 190 psi, cyl 3 the one with messed up injector 230 psi. and lastly cyl.4 200 psi what would cause the compression to be so high on the number 3 cyl.? and would this cause the injector to Possibly mess up? i know there is only suppose to be a 10% difference between the Cylinders. What would i do to fix it and do i even need to fix it. thank you all for the responses

Carbon build up can cause high compression. Try some Chrysler Combustion Chamber Cleaner. You can get some from the Mitsu dealer. Just make sure you use it outdoors away from the neighbors, that stuff stinks. It works well though.
