turbo boost?

Does anyone know how many psi of boost a T-28 turbo gives?

probably like 20 psi, you will never get that high though boosting a us lancer motor. well if you have alot of money you can

why do you ask ?

That high?

The most that I have ever heard from some DSM'ers on that turbo is 13-16 psi during its spike at most.

Also, the CR is too high to even reach the 20 psi range. Anything in the 10-13, some internals need to be swapped out like conrods, pistonhead, headgasket (stronger), and connecting pins.

Might as well go for the T3. Yes, the T28 is more affordable . . . if getting it from a salvage yard, better check the condition of the vane or any wobble effects.

Turbo

The GT-28 bal bearing turbo used in our kits run between 7 - 12 psi boost for most standard engines with no drama's. You can run up to 20 psi if you wanted to but the GT-28 on a 4G94 engine comes on boost at approx 2000 rpm and would be so smooth that you would wonder is there a turbo until you look at the speedo and see what you are doing.

i have a dsm and the t28 can handle about 20 psi, but your right about the CR, it would need to be lowered from stock in order to run that much, unless you wanted to blow up your engine.

I mean a t28 might not be efficent gaining power at 20 psi. Use turbo math to map its efficency at that high of psi.

thats a good point, the t28 might be blowing hot air up that high, i was just relaying what i heard people were running on it. WOuldnt surprise me if it was efficient to the high of boost tho.
