ive heard that the vented hoods lets water in when it rains.. isnt that dangerous for the engine? or is it ok?

Does no daamge... everything should be sealed anyways.

You motor gets wet when you drive in the rain..


Just get water spots on your valve cover

modified mag did a full writeup on the hood prop scenario and dropped the temperatures significantly by propping the back of the hood just a tiny bit(proved with multiple temp sensors)....they did it on a Miata and said gains on a forced induction car would be a lot bigger

the air coming in the grill really does a good job going out the back. Once the car is moving 15+ mph, the temp under the hood is just above (10*+/-) ambient. With the hood raised in the rear or with the seal removed, it should do better. We did similure test with TT's

Way to much money and effort for little to no result. Unless you are protecting wires/hoses, you arent doing much.
