02 lancer oz 16G Build
ok so i just want to know my 4g94 runs 9.5 compression, how much pounds of boost can I run on my car without blowing it up. And I plan on doing the pistons and rods in the car. I would like to race around 20-24 pounds myaber higher if it can handle it, and drive with5-10 pounds

Idk 20-24 psi With the right rod/piston/tune you could pull it off. I dont think it has been dont but that's the next step i think some have been up to 19 but maybe higher. All we can do is keep pushing that number up. I mean if people from outside the us can push 600-700whp out of these i dont see why we cant. And they are using 4g93 and yes sohc.

Here ya go....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BeVJccBQ1FM
I will try and find it again it was an Australia forums also found it on people talking about it on a Malaysia forum. They were boosted and nitrous. Motors. I will put it up when i find it
I found on the the thread's it's not a good one but here it is http://www.mivec.co.nz/forums/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=6427 i will try and find the other's later.
stick with our motors and head! u can build them just fine. problem is piston speed vs power. stock setup is really only good for about 230hp.(rods will fail) with a built motor(block) u can build them to handle 400hp+, problem is how much air can u flow threw the head.
there are 3 or 4 lancers that i know of all pushing 18-22psi. there all on t3 turbo setups making 315+hp i havent seen anyone running beyond 22psi on the states that i know of. they have touched every aspect of the motor to increase flow and handle more power.
hopefully ill have some good results with 16psi and a 60shot.. i wanna see 11s, dont really care what kinda power im making(but id love to see something right at 300)

So you dont think i should go the 4g92 mivec route. And got any idea how i could get those specs for the piston rod combo you got i e-mailed the company but still no response and that was over a month ago.
Sweet thanks Demon. does anyone launch there lancer's? Im trying to get the wheel hop worked out i got a solid motor mount and my wheel both are spinning good then when one slip the other goes then its a bad cycle. Im think the front end is flexing really bad so im going to get a strut tower bar and see if that helps. Anyone got any other idea's. ==_-_-_- < kinds like that.

i havent had any wheel hop issues. and ive been launching my car hard for a long time(cough neutral slam) also preloading the trans into boost before launching.. i get plenty of tire spin, but no wheel hop, i use to a long while ago.. lower the air pressure in your tires a little. and go get some flexan 94.. pull out the trans mount, and front and rear roll stops and fill them up with that flexan94 poly mount stuff.. its awsome.. u will get alot more fibration feedback at idle in the steering wheel. and might help correct your wheel hop (wheel hop can = trans death. its alot of abuse on the trans)
and JRR.. lsd wont fix 'wheel hop' .. would help with traction, but when it comes to straight line racing, locker or nothing.. slicks will help, as long as your able to heat both tires.. its always funny to see a honda with slicks do a 1 wheel burnout. then when they launch off the line the other wheel is the one spinning cuz its still dead cold.

I think he was asking if i have an LSD. And were are the roll stops at? I wont this hop issue gone before i boost i thought the solid mount would fix it. I will lower tire pressure and see what it does. Thanks
front and rear roll stops.. err engine mounts? (there called roll stops, they hav enothing to do with mounting the motor)... its at the front and rear of the motor.. its right at the water return line on the front thats like right by the radiator.. other is on the backside of the motor behind the starter... its whats in the RRM pictures of there hard mounts..
Engine mount. <-- 99% sure there is nothing u can do to it.. its that bell shaped mount on the left side of the motor near the cam gear.
Trans mount, front roll stop, rear roll stop < -- you can remove all 3.. and fill them with flexan 94 and turn them into hard mounts.
Tires pressures.. u really dont want to be below 25psi on the street.. maybe 18psi if your at the track.. really depends on your tires though and how stiff the side walls are.
