ill try, but i actually paid in full for the head in March.. its April now, so this waiting is killing me. But it was minor paperwork issue, that delayed the head from being shipped, but i'll try my best to be patient ha

O yeah, has anyone installed wiseco pistons? 8:8:1 compression. How did they fit? were they too snug? or do i have to bore to make room for the pistons?

If i do need to bore, my dad works at a machine shop (i kno awesome ha), so i can have it bored, also if the head gets here soon enough. i might have the head ported as well. Any thoughts?

Well if you dad works at a machine shop he should tell you that you need to fit the piston to the bore. Not all pistons are the same size even if they all come from the same company. Say your bought pistons and they were suppose to be 4.280 bbc .030 over. They will all be close to that but not exacly 4.280. Thats why most shops will not hone the cylinder walls till they have the pistons then you match the cylinder to a specific piston. Have you dad check the piston size were the company tells you to some piston company's have you check it in different spots. Then have him check the cylinder bore. just make sure you have the correct clearence. that spec should be with the pistons. The bottem end of an engine is not difficult to work on but it is very specific. If you dont know what you are doing i would advise you take it to a shop.

forgot to soak em in oil, sorry. But wouldnt boring lead to bigger increases? My pops has been working at the same shop since he first came to america in the 80's (before some of us were even born & makin 4 bucks an hour back then) so i would rather have him do it if anything. I myself do not kno all the specs on boring, but my dad does. But i will have him check it out today. I woulda asked him myself last night, but he works 2nd shift and didn wanna bother.

Also Luis, i will have pics posted later today.. The head hasn't even arrived yet. I will call USPS today
