Supercharge or Turbo
Debating supercharger versus turbocharger is like debating chips with dip versus salsa. Some people like french onion dip, some people like salsa.... all personal preference. I am surprised that this has reached 18 pages because there will be no resolution over which is "better" ... Instead of debating which is better, we need to look at our power needs and more importantly, our power distribution needs. If we want a more linear power band, more suitable for auto x-ing, and driving where power is needed from the low to high RPMs versus if we want a more peaking power band, with more power in the mid to high RPMs, more geared towarads 1/4 miles, should be some of the determining factors as to which method of forced induction we employ.

well i guess i better give my 2 cents worth. I have had a turbo car before with a fiew miles on it and well lets just say trouble. I went through two turbos in about a month. I just put a plate where the turbo was and then i sold that car for cheep. Anyway i think that i would like a SC better, less maintenance. I still have the tubo in the box, its only a core and it isn't that big but i will probably never use it ever again. I think for me right now i have too many things to worry about besides trying to fix my car all the time.
So i guess if anybody needs a small Garret core than tell me.

yah probably did, what kit did you have? probably www.turbokits.com which is really cheap and crappy ****, they are just mirage kits with mirage manifolds
bottom line if you drive on the highway alot then tc it cause you get all your power at high rpms but if you if your always in a city like me then sc it cause your not gonna be going over 100 im pretty sure on a quater mile run a tc versus a sc would go hands down to a sc
who cares anymore, i'm tired of hearing and reading it. its all personal opinon and what you want to do with there cars. TC or SC who cares. pple r gonna give there different responses, this thread does not help one person on deciding which kit to get. Viciouz and hotshot love there turbo kits, thats good for them cause i love my supercharger. all i gotta say is that i'm never goin back to a n/a car. i will always be boosting. even my new car.
